Fleet Telematics & Live Delivery Tracking Platform
A real-time fleet telematics and delivery tracking platform ingesting GPS telemetry from 380 vehicles every few seconds, giving dispatchers a live map and customers accurate ETAs — and cutting "where is my driver?" support calls by 78%.
01The Challenge
A regional last-mile logistics operator tracked its 380-vehicle fleet by calling drivers on their mobile phones. Dispatchers had no map of where anything was, customers were quoted four-hour delivery windows that were frequently missed, and the support line filled every afternoon with "where is my driver?" calls that took a phone call to a driver to answer. Nothing about a completed route could be reconstructed afterwards for a disputed delivery.
02The Solution
We built a streaming ingestion pipeline that accepts GPS and vehicle telemetry every few seconds, writes it to a time-series store, and fans the current fleet position out over WebSockets to a live dispatcher map. Customers get a tracking link with a predicted ETA recalculated continuously from live position, traffic, and remaining stops. Geofence entry and exit generate arrival and departure events automatically, and every route can be replayed second by second for dispute resolution and driver safety review.
